The Skálholt Summer concerts hold the “Eyrarrós” price for the year 2011. The price is granted annually at Bessastadir, the presidental recidency, for an outstanding cultural project outside the capital area of Iceland. The patron of the price is Mrs Dorrit Moussaief, the president’s wife. This award is founded by Reykjavik Arts Festival, the Icelandic Regional Development Institute and Air Iceland.
